The Indonesian navy and police, with cooperation from Malaysia,  have launched a search for a group of pirates believed responsible for three attacks since March 2nd. The pirates, who are apparently Indonesian, are operating from a fishing boat carrying a false registration number. The pirates have also kidnapped three sailors. The attacks all took place in the Straits of Malacca, the busiest waterway in the world (about 130 ships a day).
