Pakistan continues to refuse to allow interrogation of A Q Kahn, the Pakistani nuclear scientist to led an international criminal gang that sold Pakistani nuclear weapons technology. Kahn admitted his activities last year, but but the Pakistani government pardoned him because he was a national hero for his work on developing Pakistani nuclear weapons. Kahn is under house arrest, and American and UN investigators keep finding more evidence of the Kahn gang's operations. Pakistan offers help with the investigation, except for access to Kahn. It is feared that Kahn sold a lot more stuff than first suspected, and only Kahn knows the full extent of these sales.

In Bangladesh, police arrested twelve men and accused them of attempting to form an Islamic terrorist group, and using a mosque as a headquarters.
