Sudanese government sources acknowledged that Iran is helping build the new "peace highway" that will improve travel from northern Sudan to southern Sudan. Much of the highway is apparently open to traffic and the Iranians are helping improve it. The road runs from Rebek (about 200 miles south of Khartoum) to Jebelain in the White Nile region. Peace highway? Any bets it's built for five-ton military trucks?
