Police in Moscow have arrested at least 30 people as suspects in providing assistance to the Chechen terrorist attack on a theater last week. Danish police also arrested a senior Chechen rebel leader in the country for a conference of Chechen resistance groups. Russia had protested Denmark allowing this conference to go on, but Denmark pleaded "freedom of speech." The Danes changed their mind somewhat after Chechens raided a Moscow theater and threatened to kill the 800 or so audience and performers present. 

The attack on the theater has hurt the Chechen cause, as it is clearly terrorism. While most Russians would like to see the Chechens get there act together so Russian troops can withdraw, the theater attack shows that Chechen rebels are as out of control and committed to mayhem as ever.
