The Zimbabwe MDC (Movement for Democratic Change, the main opposition group) said it planned to continue mass political action against the Mugabe dictatorship. The actions include marches, job slowdowns and strikes. The strategy is two-fold: focus international attention on Mugabes thug regime and through mass civil disobedience force him to step down from power. The MDCs statement follows a statement on May 29 by the Zimbabwean Army that it would crack down on anti-Mugabe opposition groups. (Austin Bay)
