Kenya issued a statement that said its defense forces are increasing security along the Kenya-Somalia border. The Kenyan government is responding to reports that an Islamist militia plans to attack the town of Liboj in northeast Kenya. This specific trouble began in November 2001when five members of the pastoral Ahlihan tribe in Kenya were slain by raiders from the Mohamed Zubeer tribe (which lives in Somalia).
