Religious conflict continued in the Malukus, with at least three dead and a dozen or more wounded.  This is the fourth straight day of fighting in the provincial capital, Ambon. The navy is having more success than the army. In the last week, 48 boats carrying weapons (mainly for Moslems) were seized. In the previous two months, before the navy beefed up its blockade, only 19 boats were seized.
