 In Pakistan, the army operations in the tribal areas are driving many al Qaeda members out of their refuges there, and into other parts of Pakistan. This, plus the capture of al Qaeda communications expert Naeem Noor Kahn. This made it easier to identify safe houses and al Qaeda supporters outside the tribal areas.
