A bomb went off in the Karachi, Pakistan, killing three and wounding five. It was apparently a suicide, or very sloppy, bombing as the woman carrying the bomb was killed as well. In Bangladesh, left wing rebels killed a village chief and in a subsequent shoot out with police, four rebels were killed. Several small left wing rebel groups continue to operate.
