Bosnia continues to divide its security functions along ethnic lines. A Bosnian Serb will now head the new defense ministry. A Bosniak Muslim will head the Intelligence and Security Service (OSS). The head of the Bosnian federal police, the Agency for Information and Protection (AIZ) will be a Bosnian Croat. This isnt a new phenomenon in Bosnia, and it was a Yugoslav policy under Tito. Titoists called spreading key positions among various Yugoslav nationalities the nationality key.
