Truck bombs went off near two Jewish synagogues in Istanbul. Twenty died and 302 were wounded. Most of the dead were Moslems. Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul accused "international terrorist organizations" of conducting the attack. Israel is one of Turkeys key allies. Attacks on Turkish Jews are very likely an attempt by radical Islamists to drive a wedge between Turkey and Israel.
