Turkey issued several statements regarding allegations that Iraq was seeking to buy atropine nerve agent antidote through Turkish suppliers. The most interesting Turkish statement was an admission that the US brought the issue to our attention. The Turkish heath ministry said the order had not been confirmed. The US said Iraq was seeking one million doses of atropine. Atropine is usually administered via a spring-loaded injector.
