Austria has ordered nine S70A BlackHawk helicopters from Sikorsky of the US for $184 million. Campaigning for the next big Austrian purchase (two dozen new fighters) is growing intense as the decision must be made in a few months. Competitors include the Swedish Gryphon, the American F-16C50 and F-18, the French Mirage-2000-5, and the Russian MiG-29MST.--Stephen V Cole
