Turkey's order for  AWACS planes built on Boeing-737 airframes  includes options for two additional planes at an added cost. The first will be built in Seattle, but the rest will be built in Turkey. Australia has also ordered the aircraft, providing enough orders to allow Boeing to proceed with the program. Boeing hopes to sign deals to build such planes for South Korea and Italy.--Stephen V Cole
